What speeds can I expect Breezeline’s Fiber 2.5 Gig to deliver if I am wired directly to the modem?

Customers should expect wired speed tests on the proper Breezeline speed test site to be close to the maximum available throughput, depending on the network load and the capabilities of the connected device.

Device with a 2.5 GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) Port:

- Customers with a device featuring a 2.5 GbE port (the most common port for this speed tier) should expect speeds up to 2.3 Gbps. The remaining bandwidth is reserved for network protocol overhead.

Device with a 5 or 10 GbE Port:

- Customers with higher-end devices equipped with a 5 GbE or 10 GbE port will be able to fully utilize the total capacity of the service and should expect speeds up to the full 2.5 Gbps.

Factors Affecting Speed: Remember that the actual speed experienced will always be subject to:

- The number of devices simultaneously connected to the network.

- The technical specifications (CPU, memory, storage speed, and Ethernet card/adapter) of the device running the speed test.
