Screen Reader
A screen reader is a voice that reads the TiVo menu choices displayed on the TV screen.
To turn the screen reader on or off, press and hold the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote for at least two seconds. A selection bar will appear that has the option to “Turn Screen Reader ON” or “Turn Screen Reader OFF” by pressing the Select/OK (center) button. You will hear a “chirp” noise when the Screen Reader is turned on. You will hear a voice saying “Screen Reader off” when the Screen Reader is turned off.
If your remote has an “A” button, you can also press and hold the “A” button for at least two seconds to turn the Screen Reader feature on or off.
Note: If your audio is set to Dolby Audio, the system will automatically switch you to PCM when the Screen Reader is turned on.
Closed Captioning
Closed Captioning is the audio portion of a show displayed as text on the TV screen.
To turn Closed Captioning on or off, press and hold the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote for at least two seconds. A selection bar will appear that has the option to select “Turn Closed Caption ON” or “Turn Closed Caption OFF” by pressing the Select/OK (center) button. You will hear a “chirp” noise when Closed Captioning is turned on or off.
If your remote has a “B” button, you can also press and hold the “B” button for at least two seconds to turn the Closed Captions feature on or off.
You can also turn Closed Captioning on or off by pressing the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote to bring up the Info banner and then selecting Turn Closed Captions On/Off.
To change the language for Closed Captioning, press the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote to bring up the Info banner and and then select Change Subtitle & CC Language.
Video Description Track
A Video Description Track is a voice that describes the action taking place on the TV screen during natural pauses in the audio. The Video Description Track is delivered by a Secondary Audio Program (SAP).
To turn the video description track on or off, press and hold the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote for at least two seconds. This will change the audio track of the show to the secondary audio track. A selection bar will appear that has the option to select “Turn Secondary Audio ON” or “Turn Secondary Audio OFF” by pressing the Select/OK (center) button. You will hear a “chirp” noise when Video Description Track (Secondary Audio) is turned on or off.
If your remote has a “C” button, you can also press and hold the “C” button for at least two seconds to turn the Video Description Track (Secondary Audio) feature on or off.
You can also turn Video Description Track on or off by pressing the Info (i ) button on your Stream TV remote to bring up the Info banner and then selecting Change Audio Track.
Note: Not all shows include a video description track. It is up to the content provider to offer a video description track.

Press the TiVo button on your remote control to bring up the Home page and scroll to the left to bring up the Menu.
Go to Accessibility for the following management features:
- Subtitles & Closed Captioning: Turn subtitles or closed captioning on or off for all shows.
- Subtitle & Closed Caption Language: Set the default language for subtitles or closed captions on all shows, when alternate languages are available.
- Closed Captioning Preferences: Change the way closed captioning text is displayed.
- Language & Audio Description: Some shows are broadcast with an audio description track or more than one language track. Choose SAP to turn on audio description when available, or choose the default language for shows with multiple language tracks available. Note that this setting also appears in the Audio Settings menu.
