Configure Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0 and Up

1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird.


2. Go to Accounts > Set up an account, then click Email.



You can also go to the Tools menu and select Account Settings. Click the Account Actions drop-down in the bottom left, then select Add Mail Account.



3. Enter your name, email address and password, then click Continue.



4. Make sure IMAP (remote folders) is selected.



5. Click Done and you’ll be all set! You can now access your breezelineohio.net account using Thunderbird. Manually Configure Incoming (IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) Server Settings for Thunderbird



Configure IMAP Settings


1. Go to the

menu and click on Options > Account Settings, or click on your @breezelineohio.net account then select View settings for this account.



2. Click on Server Settings.


3. Change your settings as desired, then click OK.


For breezelineohio.net emails, we recommend the following settings:


  • Server Name: mail.breezelineohio.net
  • Port: 993 for IMAP
  • Connection Security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication Method: Normal password
  • Check for new messages at startup: Yes
  • Check for new messages: Every 10 minutes
  • Allow immediate server notifications when new messages arrive: Yes
  • When I delete a message: Move it to this folder: Trash



Configure SMTP Setting


1. Go to the Tools menu and click on Account Settings, or right-click on your email address and select Settings.


2. Click Outgoing Server (SMTP).


3. Click Edit.


4. Change your settings as desired, then click OK.


For breezelineohio.net emails, we recommend the following settings:


  • Description: Breezelineohio
  • Server Name: mail.breezelineohio.net
  • Port: 465
  • Connection Security: SSL
  • Authentication Method: Normal password



5. On the Account Settings page, click OK.
